A week after suing Arizona and arguing that the state's immigration law creates a patchwork of rules, the Obama administration said it will not go after so-called sanctuary cities that refuse to cooperate with the federal government on immigration enforcement, on the grounds that they are not as bad as a state that "actively interferes."

The Fiscal Burden of Illegal Immigration on
United States Taxpayers
Executive Summary
This report estimates the annual costs of illegal immigration at the federal, state and local level to be about $113 billion; nearly $29 billion at the federal level and $84.2 billion at the state and local level. The study also estimates tax collections from illegal alien workers, both those in the above-ground economy and those in the underground economy. Those receipts do not come close to the level of expenditures and, in any case, are misleading as an offset because over time unemployed and underemployed U.S. workers would replace illegal alien workers.

Pictures from the July 31 Rally against Arizona SB 1070 in Phoenix. The Arizona and United States flags were written on with spray paint, then walked on. Flags of this size are expensive, so were probably furnished by the union thugs bused from California for the protest. The people in the pictures may even be the thugs from California. Do you think these people now or ever would respect our laws? Desecration of the American Flag is illegal. However, it is a crime with the Federal Government. Meaning the Feds will have to prosecute for the crime and considering they will not prosecute for illegal trespassing into the Country, or defrauding our welfare programs, why would they prosecute anyone for spray painting and walking on an American flag?????"

Media Remain Astounded That You Forced Senate To Defeat DREAM Act Amnesty -- GRASSROOTS POWER AFFIRMED
By Roy Beck, Monday, December 27, 2010, 9:01 PM EST - posted on NumbersUSA
The fact that 'everything else' passed in the Lame Duck session, means that your activism against the amnesty is seen as an even more amazing accomplishment of grassroots activism.
For the last week, newspapers throughout the country have been filled with editorials, opinion columns and even news stories about how "tragic" it was that the amnesty was the only item on the President's wish list that didn't pass just before Congress left town for Christmas.

What do Hispanic Conservatives and Tea Party Supporters Believe?
Many people wonder what Hispanics conservatives and Tea Party believe and if there is room or place for them in the movement. The simple is answer is “yes”. There is no conflict in being a conservative and in being a minority. We are all Americans. While there are many specific issues, we believe in the following core principles.

Hispanics and the Tea Party, II
Posted on January 18, 2011 by George Rodriguez
Many people believe that because the Tea Party is a conservative movement, Hispanics do not have a role or interest in it, however this is not true. Hispanics not only are involved, there is a strong effort to reach out, and inform and educate them about conservative issues. The goal of the Tea Party in Texas is to create a strong conservative bloc of voters in the Texas Hispanic communities through out the state.

Texas Legislator Files Bill to Challenge Current ICE Immigration Policy
Written by Kelly Holt Friday, 18 February 2011
The biennial meeting of the Texas State Legislature always promises to be the best entertainment in town, and this year’s free-for-all is no exception. Republican State Representative Lois Kolkhorst from tiny Brenham, Texas filed a bill yesterday which, if passed, would give state law enforcement officers a new way to help enforce federal immigration laws. This slightly unusual proposal is not without some Texas-style humor.
The overall bill is quite serious, however, addressing the severe problem border states face when illegal immigrants convicted of crimes are not picked up by U.S. Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE) when they are released from jail. Kolkhorst’s bill, H.B. 1455, proposes to give the local police or sheriff the option of transporting offenders to the office of a U.S. Representative or Senator when ICE fails to retrieve them. Rep. Kolkhorst hopes the bill will provide an incentive for congressional offices to intervene when ICE chooses not to act in their areas. She stated in a press release:
If passed, federal lawmakers may get some real-life examples of the severity of the problem facing our constituents and local law enforcement. The bill will spotlight parts of Texas where federal authorities are not enforcing their own immigration law.

Illegal Immigrants Overrun Arizona's Emergency Rooms
Written by Daniel Sayani
Thursday, 24 February 2011
One of the most significant issues to arise in the immigration debate is the question of illegal immigrants utilizing taxpayer-funded social and human services that they are not legally entitled to, and that they do not contribute to, as illegal immigrants do not pay taxes that are used to finance such programs.
The state of Arizona, known for taking a tough stance for the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution in its legislation that seeks to defend its borders from the constant ......
